Status Update: E-mail Changes

E-mail Print

As we come closer to completing our mail platform migration, we would like to provide a status update on where we are currently at, and what is still left to be completed.

In regards to mail clients, as of Friday, November 14th we are enforcing the new e-mail settings as mandatory.  If you have already entered the new mail settings into your e-mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail), your e-mail will continue to work as normal.  If you have not entered the new settings, your mail client will not be able to send or receive e-mail until you do enter the new settings into your mail client.  If you need any assistance with this process, visit our E-mail Migration page for helpful tutorials, or give our tech support team a call.

Attention Netsync Customers:

There is a phone scammer calling Netsync customers claiming to be a Netsync employee stating that there is a malicious e-mail on your computer, and asking to remote into your computer to remove the malicious e-mail.  This is a scam.  We are not currently doing any outreach to customers that involves our staff deleting a malicious e-mail off of our customers' computers remotely.  If you get contacted by this scammer, please do not give them remote access to your computer or any personal information.

If you have any questions, please contact our tech support team at 716-672-5100 or toll-free 1-800-642-4294.

Important! Upcoming Netsync E-mail Changes

E-mail Print
Dear Valued Customer,

Changes are being made to Netsync® mail, which will affect all Netsync email accounts.

Since 2011, Netsync mail service has been based on the Google Gmail platform. Recently, Google informed Netsync (and all other partner service providers across the country) that they are discontinuing the partner version of their Gmail platform.  As a result, Netsync must move all customer e-mail accounts to our new platform.  The move will take place between November 10th and December 1st, 2014.
  • We have established new mail settings for our customers who use e-mail software like Outlook or Apple Mail to access their netsync.net email account.
  • No changes are necessary for accessing webmail at login.netsync.net
  • To take advantage of the new settings in your e-mail software, we need you to make some changes to your e-mail clients (like Windows Live Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) .
